THE PROCESS

When I arrive at a new location, I don't begin working right away. Instead, I pause, observing carefully and listening closely, allowing the place itself to guide my next steps. Spaces hold stories—echoes that exist not only in what is physically visible but also in silences, movements, and subtle absences. I stay present, processing emotions as they come, without imposing preconceived plans or expectations.

Sometimes, my path forward is clear immediately; other times, I wait patiently, letting intuition lead. I look for objects and details that carry meaning, often subtle or overlooked fragments. A weathered piece of wood, an abandoned item, or a shard of glass reflecting light uniquely—each place suggests its own significance. When an object resonates with me, I pick it up, turning it in my hands, sensing its weight, texture, and the story it carries. If it speaks to me, it becomes part of my work.

My presence often invites curiosity. People approach, intrigued by what I'm doing. Rather than formal interviews or direct questioning, I engage in simple conversation, genuinely listening as they share stories and memories associated with the space. Occasionally, they offer personal artifacts—a photograph, a small keepsake—further enriching the narrative I’m building.

I arrange these found objects intuitively, guided by the interaction of light, space, and emotion. Changing natural light continuously shapes the scene, introducing subtle shifts and transformations that cannot be replicated artificially. Once the composition feels complete, I document it authentically, without alterations or enhancements. Through my work, I strive to highlight resilience, celebrating the enduring spirit and vitality inherent in every place.
